Treatment: Acids & Exfoliators: Exfoliating twice a week helps remove dead skin cells and also helps in fading acne marks. However, you must not overdo it, as it will irritate your skin and damage your skin's protective layers. 


If you want to add acids to your routine to get rid of acne, blackheads, or textural issues then you should start with mild ones and then work your way up to the stronger ones. 


Toner: When you are dealing with oily skin and acne, then it might seem tempting to reach out for a bottle of apple cider vinegar, or a toner with high alcohol content. But did you know that these can actually be very irritating to your skin? You can skip toner totally or opt for a very mild one.


Moisturizer: For a moisturizer, choose a lightweight formula that will hydrate and moisturize your skin and protect it from dehydration. 


Sunscreen: Sunscreen is a must! A good sunblock is a key to maintaining your skin's health and avoiding premature aging or early photoaging of the skin. Invest in a good sunblock with SPF 30 or above. 

Some other important tips for teens:

  • Don't forget your lips and neck. Apply a lip balm before going to bed and exfoliate your neck when scrubbing your face.
  • Keep yourself hydrated. Drink water and include electrolyte solution in your daily routine.
  • Always clean your makeup before hitting the bed
  • Avoid touching your face frequently. Every time you touch your face, you are transferring oil, dirt, and bacteria that ultimately lead to breakouts. 
  • Stop picking at your pimples. Do not pop them or scratch them.
  •  Follow a balanced diet and limit your fast food intake.
  • Choose the right products. Research before you buy and do a patch test on your hand first.
